Researchers demonstrate exotic particles can perform every operation needed for universal quantum computing
A team from the University of Chicago, Harvard, Stony Brook, and Quantinuum showed that non-Abelian anyons — long considered a theoretical 'dark horse' for quantum computing — can execute a complete set of operations on a real 54-qubit processor, published this month in Nature.
